Laser resurfacing is a treatment to reduce facial wrinkles and skin irregularities, such as blemishes or acne scars.

Erbium laser resurfacing is designed to remove surface-level and moderately deep lines and wrinkles on the face, hands, neck, or chest. One of the benefits of erbium laser resurfacing is minimal burning and it works well with all skin types.

How long does a Erbium procedure take?

This varies by client, in general Erbium skin resurfacing lasts about one hour to treat the full face. Smaller areas take less time.

How soon will I see the results?

Results can be seen in as little as 2 weeks with skin appearing brighter and smoother after just one session. However, full results will take a bit longer. Over the course of three to five sessions, your skin will continue to improve as the deep tissue is stimulated to produce collagen and elastin.

After treatment, treated skin will appear pink or red and there may be slight swelling, but these side effects are brief and should subside in a few days.

How many sessions and how often do I need to do Erbium?

This varies by patient. In general, we recommend a series of three treatments at approximately six weeks apart for best results. In your personalized consultation, we will discuss your desired results and how many treatments we believe will be needed to achieve them.

Who can benefit from the procedure?

Almost anyone who has fine lines and wrinkles on their face, neck, hands or back can benefit from the Erbium Laser Skin Resurfacing procedure. Individuals who are beginning to notice mild to moderate changes in the look and feel of their skin are excellent candidates for the procedure and will reap the most rewards. The procedure is both safe and effective, providing excellent results with a minimal recovery time.

Who Is a Good Candidate For Laser Resurfacing? And Who’s Not?

If you have fine lines, wrinkles around your mouth, eyes, forehead, acne scars, redness, pigmentation or uneven skin tone then you may be a good candidate for Laser resurfacing treatment.

Pregnant or breastfeeding women
Children under the age of 18 without parental consent
Current skin disease/infections such as cold sores at the site of treatment
History of keloid scarring
Medical condition that may impair judgement
